We are looking for new Trustees, as current trustees complete their terms of office in 2021, to help us build on our tremendous successes and enviable reputation and contribute to the organisation’s future direction.
We are Streatham-based and employ about 50 staff, whose aim is to secure brighter futures for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the UK by working directly with their parents. Whether in one of our 4 residential family centres, or in the community, St Michael’s intervention and support is about addressing the day-to-day challenges of parenting and ultimately keeping families together.
These are challenging times, particularly with the current pandemic, for both the families we support and the environment in which we operate: the need for services is greater than ever but historical funding routes are being squeezed. Having successfully addressed these challenges in recent years we realise that the next few years are likely to present more obstacles and we need a strong board of trustees with the right skills and knowledge to take us forward. We are looking for new trustees to support the board and an outstanding staff team in building an organisation that can expand to help many more vulnerable families and children in the years to come.
We are seeking a Digital Champion and would also welcome those with extensive knowledge of fundraising, HR and legal expertise. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will have the ability to work collaboratively with fellow trustees, sound judgement and pragmatism.
