DEPUTY MANAGER (residential centre)

Salary: £37,852 - £42,916 (inclusive of LW) plus limited sleep-ins per month at £50 per night (with management experience, starting salary £39,032)

St Michael's works together to try and keep families together. The number of children in the care system is the highest it has ever been. Part of this solution is better support for parents both in our centres and once they leave. As well as staff in the centre you will also work with other teams such as our Securing Change programme and young dads practitioners. 

Working with parents to keep children safe 

We are looking for someone who has at least three years of experience working directly with families. You will be committed to the best outcomes for children through direct work with parents and team support.

We want all staff to actively to contribute to the ongoing development of the centre and St Michael's work. You’ll be encouraged to take on new challenges, help develop our work with families and share your expertise. Each Centre works with a maximum of three families so this is very focused work with a chance to see the impact you have on a family over 12 weeks.

The highly experienced House Manager and our organisational culture of support and development will help you build your skills and capability.

We realise that the demands made on staff are considerable.  We provide regular supervision, appraisals, training and professional development. There are regular team away days.  Annual leave is generous and we provide free regular on-site massage.
